- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I wouldn't use Wachovia for much unless I had too. Wachovia bought out SouthTrust and thus all my accounts changed to Wachovia. If it were not such a pain to close accounts and open in another bank, I would in a heartbeat. I have had nothing but trouble and incompetence with this bank. I've been charged fees for services that did not go through due to the incompetence or ignorance of the banking staff, I've been charged fees on an account that I closed, I've made mail deposits that simply just aren't deposited - thus causing my account to be overdrawn - it's a long list of dumb things. The bank hasn't deposited a large check that it received last week - that's the end of it for me - I'm opening a new account in another bank today. Awful bank.By A Google User, July 27, 2017
